Ten minutes a Day can you make slim again.

There’s good news for overweight women.A new study suggest that as little as 75 minutes of exercise a week can effectively improve ones fitness levels.
In his study of exercising habits, Dr Timothy Church of the Lousiana state University in Baton Rouge has discovered that all of the women in their study group who exercised were fitter based on measurements of oxygen intake during exercise, and their waists were smaller. That is important because belly fat increases the risk of premature death, Type 2 diabetes, cholesterol problems and hypertension.

The researchers studied 427 overweight women with high or borderline-high blood pressure with an average age of 57. These participants were randomly asigned to not exercise or do one of the three levels of moderate intensity physical activity, by walking on treadmills or riding stationary cycles, three or four times a week.

The results were startling, even the groups with the lowest level of moderate exercise that is 75 minutes a week, were fitter and had slimmer waists. This is important considering that public health guides suggest atleast 30 minutes of exercise a day to stave off the effects of aging,heart disease and cholestrol.While this study does not recommend the reduction of the public health guidelines for physical activity. It however is encouraging to those that find it difficult to find time to exercise everyday.
So for all those struggling to keep fit and loose weight.Those precious ten minutes every day on the treadmill might just be all that’s necessary to reduce your waistline.
